Well “Hi” again...sorry it has been so long since I have updated my news but it has

been quite busy here with the pups and all….they are growing well and now 5 weeks old!!!

Have had a good few shows with Sadie….she has won many more Best Puppy’s & Group placings.

Have also had a couple of my babies birthdays...Ralf “ my  main man” is now 7 years young and

Morgan was 2 years old on Friday 13th June...an omen I believe...but I still love him so dearly!!!

And just to bring you my very latest news…..we had a show yesterday...it was the

first show for my first ever black Darcey and she was a “little sweetie”. She behaved impeccably

which surprised me!!!! She was entered in a class of 9 cocker spaniels all who were much

older than her and she was placed a very creditable 2nd...I am one very proud Mummy!!!

Also I showed a couple of my others and they were all placed...and I want to say a Big Well

Done to my young blue boy Kyran...he has taken a back seat to his sister Meggie in the

Puppy classes but he really came into his own yesterday by winning a really strong Open Dog

Class and then went onto be Reserve Best of Breed and BEST RESERVE BEST of BREED GUNDOG

So a good day all around!!! Thanks to judges Mr Alcorn & Mrs McAngus.

And on a different note………….I want to send
Amanda Sullivan (Flourenn) all our love from Brelade & all the

“Best wishes in the World” on her foregoing trip into hospital……...I know it is going to be a long

hard struggle for both you & Garfield but we are all here for you both and will miss you terribly at the shows…..

Take care Amanda and we will all see you real soon. xx (I am working on the rota at the moment!!!)

12/05/08

WILLIAM is 6 years young today and he is still as handsome and suave
as he always was as you can see in these couple of pictures of “Our Wills”

I have included one with his special birthday bonnet on!!!!

With William we have our very own “Peter Pan”!!!!

And for an extra special birthday present just for him ……………..

Isabella’s puppies arrived today on his birthday
and he is the Daddy to this gorgeous litter…………..
See Pictures Here…..
So double celebrations all round with a great party, cake and of course champagne!!!

And I happy to report both Mum & Pups are doing well. (Sorry but all the pups are already sold in this litter)

09/05/08   We are so proud to announce that…...

BRELADE BOOTNECK
achieves his

SHOW CERTIFICATE of MERIT

26/04/08

We went to our first Champ show of the year…. WELKS at Malvern.

I only took my girls Sadie & Meggie…..
They both went really well but both the Puppy & Junior bitch classes were very strong
and unfortunately we did not do anything spectacular.

However they both behaved impeccably and enjoyed themselves…which is all I ask of them...
and we then went & had a great fun day (again) & took some lovely photos as you can see..
with the Gwbert & Flourenn Spaniels…… and it was lovely weather all day!!!

Also well done to my travelling
buddies......Chris & Amanda
on being placed in their classes
Reserve & VHC respectively with
the lovely Edwin & gorgeous Molly.

And “congratulations” to Vanda

with her first American Cocker

“Kyssmeo Trick or Treat

with Shadowview”

on qualifying for Crufts 2009
at his very first show.

19/04/08

It was an other enjoyable weekend for Brelade……..

We attended South Western Gundog Open Show
where there was a good entry of Cocker Spaniels.

All three dogs I showed today won 1st’s — Morgan, Meggie & Sadie
and all were under breed specialists John Gillespie (Lochranza) & Linda Reed (Delindere)
- thanks to both judges for their red cards.

However the highlight of the day for Morgan & Sadie (as you can see in the picture)
was the addition of their new soft toys -which I would like to add they chose themselves!!!

12/04/08

We had another “nice day” showing at Bodmin Premier Show…..

Both Sadie & Kyran won their consecutive classes and
Sadie went onto win Best Puppy in Breed.

It was also Chris’s birthday so we had to have a good celebration
with cake, champagne & much laughter — which we did!!!

                                          HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISSIE (Gwbert)

Oh and by the way Chris - don’t worry your age is safe with me!!!!!!

Afterwards we took all the dogs for a great run in the fields and took some lovely photos
of them all having a great time………… as after all…….although they are our show dogs
they are our pets and members of the family
and not forgetting gundogs firstly.

So they should be allowed to let their hair down and run around and get muddy and enjoy themselves as only dogs can.…………..
So all in all the Brelade & Gwbert “hooligans” had a fun & enjoyable day!
But how come Edwin always finds something “not nice” to roll in???

06/04/08

What a great weekend………..

We went to two Open shows this weekend and it was worth all the effort of the early mornings
(even with the sleet & snow in April)!!

On Saturday it was the first time out for Daniel (Bitcon Apache) and he went
and won the puppy class and won Best puppy in breed!
Not bad going for his first time ever at a show.
Thanks Chris (Gwbert) for showing him so well in the puppy class.

I also won the open bitch class with Meggie and
Chris won Best of Breed with her very sweet Edwin. Well done guys.

Then on Sunday we had another great day…………

Yet another “double” for my two chocolates!
Sadie (only her 5th time being shown) won
Best puppy in breed and then went on to win Gundog Puppy Group 1.
She was so well behaved and never put a foot wrong in the
Best Puppy in Show ring but she is still very much a baby and
had to contend with puppies much older and mature than her — but she did everything and more that I asked of her.
Thanks “Sadie my little lady”.

And my adorable cheeky chocolate boy Morgan won Best of Breed again and then got shortlisted in a very strong Gundog Group.

Also not forgetting Meggie—she won another open bitch class (not bad going for only being out of puppy for 2 weeks) and ended up going Reserve Best of breed & Best opposite sex –thanks to Amanda (Flourenn) for handling her so well in the challenge.

So a big thank you to all judges—Mr B Limpus, Mr H Millan & Mr A Fall for a great weekend with our Brelade & Gwbert Cocker Spaniels

30/03/08

We have had another great weekend—it was Meggie & Kyran’s first shows in the
“big boys & girls classes” and they both held their own exceedingly well.
Meggie in particular really did well by winning two firsts under two different judges.

And it was also only the third time my little chocolate baby girl Sadie was being shown
and she excelled herself by winning Best Puppy in Breed and Puppy Group 3
at only 8 months old at Okehampton Open show.

Morgan also had a great weekend by winning Best of Breed and
Gundog Group 3 at the same show.

I want to say a big thank you to both judges —
Mr Malcolm Benton & Mrs Laura Sexton for a great day with “my chocolates”

Also Chris Pearn won Reserve Best of Breed with her black boy Edwin —
so all in all a great day for both Brelade & Gwbert Cockers.

And again I want to say a special Well Done to John & Angie Ord with Dylan
(their Irish Setter puppy) on winning yet another Puppy group
and his first BOB at just 9 months old.
Thanks to Amanda (Flourenn Springers) for taking some lovely photos of my guys!

22/03/08

First weekend of showing for 3 weeks and it was good to meet up with everyone and have a chat  and catch up on the news.

It was Meggie’s last weekend as a puppy and she finished on a high by winning Best Puppy in Breed both days and also getting placed in both Puppy Groups—Group 2 on Saturday and Group 4 on Sunday— way to go Meg!

It was also my little Sadie’s first show this weekend and she did so well by winning 2nd in Minor Puppy Gundog being only beaten by the eventual Puppy Group 1 winner.

Also want to say a WELL DONE to John & Angie Ord who won BEST PUPPY IN SHOW at Cornwall Gundog Open show with their young Irish Setter puppy Dylan Tykki Dyw Sunlord —the second in 4 weeks — Well Done John & Angie & Dylan!

7/03/08

Meggie -Bencleuch Beloved won 2nd Junior and then BPIB and onto Puppy Group 2 and

Morgan - Brelade Bootneck won 1st Open
